This is the final piece of bridges and landscapes from my final year. This painting was right at the entrance of the gallery so many I was happy that many stared at it for long. (usually people won't have the patience to go through all the paintings in a gallery with the same focus)
I was almost giving up on this piece before my teacher urged me to finish it because she liked the composition and the colors. I'm glad she did, because it turned out to be a really spiritual piece for me. I'm still not quite sure what it means but to me it seems like the painting is asking me a question.
"Will you cross the icy bridge before it breaks? And do I want to see what's in the end of this road so badly that I'm willing to give up the opportunity to return to see it?"
Thanks, btw this thing will also be on my painting room wall. The 2m long print really gives it that epic feel I was going for. Maybe after several months of staring I'll finally get it myself.
