Silence

Time for a new painting. I'm currently in love with cyan and it shows.

Painted partly with Artrage 2 that I'm only now beginning to understand. The program is very unforgiving to small mistakes and I've learned to appreciate it because of it.

By the way this is not a sketch or a speedpainting. I spent a lot of time planning the rhythm and texture of brush strokes. half of the time I was painting over the details with bigger brushes because they were unnecessary. I like details I'm just very picky where they are and in this style I have to count in the fact that the eye reads some contrasty brush strokes as details too.

I have to confess that I used to think that Art Rage is just a stupid toy that can't be used for anything. Just goes to show that I was wrong again.

The girl has very much likeness to my sister but I wasn't too concerned with the likeness as I see this as a more story driven painting than as a portrait.

(ok I know some people couldn't care less but this kind of stuff is usually seen in big quality prints. I'm sorry for being overly excited about weird stuff1)
