I've wanted to design a retro poster for so long it's crazy. After seeing some cool clothing ads from 1900-1950 I decided to actually do something about it.

I honestly thought the whole thing would be a lot easier but at the same time I'm glad that I learned a lot from the process. I had a very clear vision what kind of gothic font the poster should have. In the end that's actually 3 fonts and 3 vector letters that form the words "Polka Dots" since none of the free fonts were exactly what I was looking for.

I wanted the dress to be fun but not funny and retro instead of old.

I love the old fashion ads where human form is there just to show the product unlike nowdays where it's all about the underweight celebrity models.
