I've been waking up early for work for few months now.

I usually get up at 4a.m. so I can get some of the compulsory drawing and painting done before other people arrive to work and I have to focus on 15 visual things at once.

Sometimes it works well but sometimes I feel like falling asleep on my Japanese classes the homework of which I've most likely done only in the hallway where I ate my lunch o_O

So yeah life is busy!

Anyway I guess that's the reason I did this image. I can completely relate to the owl on the right for some reason. (we kinda look alike don't you think? Actually don't answer that!)
The middle one was inspired by my new pirate bag and for some reason the bat on the left reminds me of my sister because she always stays up so late.

This was supposed to be her birthday card but I'm sending a bigger print of it late for the big day because I couldn't manage to finish it in time.

The vector was done in illustrator and all the wrapping paper textures were applied in photoshop.

p.s. since you've been such a trooper to make it to the bottom of this wall 'o text then hurry over to my current journal to have a chance of winning a free print! GO GO GOOOO!

Oh yeah I'm submitting a print of this because I think this would be a perfect postcard especially during winter.

p.p.s am I the only one who thinks owls need pyjamas?
